Borkum is known for its beautiful beaches, incomparable nature and excellent sports opportunities. But that's not all, the event program is also impressive year after year and offers plenty of entertainment for young and old.

Voice Passion
In addition to many other awards, the two received the “Voice of the Year” award in Eastern Switzerland in 2015. Voice Passion focuses entirely on the voice. Whether opera, operetta, musical or crossover, they present the great moments of musical theater in style and with great charm.

Charlie Martin Family Show
A program in which you don't just watch, but also do magic. An interactive, fully organized, spontaneous program that reacts flexibly to the needs of the audience. Cloths appear and disappear, empty pages in the coloring book become colorful, ropes transform, balls multiply... and much, much more.

Shanty choir “Oldtimer” – “Störtebeker’s heirs”
Borkum culture: the shanty choir “Oldtimer” has been singing and entertaining islanders, guests and many fans across the country since 1976. Atmospheric and entertaining, cheerful and always full of ideas, the four-part choir fills naves and halls. For the 2023 season program on the Borkum Culture Island, the not-so-old “vintage cars” will present popular songs and modern pieces and will definitely bring the hall to a boil when Likedeeler and Pirates take over the helm.

Borkum Wine Festival
Whether from the Nahe, the Moselle, Rheinhessen or the Palatinate – from May 10th to 15th. On May XNUMXst, selected winemakers from different wine-growing regions in Germany will once again do the honors and present their good and delicious wines in a maritime atmosphere.
In addition to wine, there will be other culinary highlights such as meat, fish and sweet treats.

“Libre International” beach sailing regatta
The "Libre International" beach sailing regatta will take place on Borkum's north beach on May 12th and 13th, 2023. All beach sailing craft of the Miniyacht class are eligible to participate. The number of pilots is limited to 30.

Darts & comedy at its best
On May 20, 2023, 5-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld will visit our island for the second time. In the darts scene, Raymond von Barneveld is an absolute professional in his field as world champion in 1998, 1999, 2003, 2005 and 2007.
To make this evening even better, a star of the German comedy scene has signed up for this event - the winner of the RTL “Comedy Grand Prix” from 2011, Markus Krebs.
Germany's master caller Gordon Shumway will be leading the program.

Borkum Whitsun Tennis Tournament 2023
The traditional Pentecost tennis tournament takes place on the tennis island under the motto “Game, set and victory garnished with sand, salt and sun”. As a LK-relevant doubles and mixed tournament, the event is held in different age groups.

Borkum Expert Weeks
The Borkum Expert Weeks in June and September combine sporting activity in the fresh North Sea air, the joy of movement, and basic theoretical knowledge. All this is led by international experts and trainers. For example, former boxing world champion Sven Ottke teaches the Fitness Box Camp. The course duration varies depending on the type of sport offered, from a single training session to five days. The program includes the Life Balance Days, the Biathlon Camp, the Functional Training Camp, the Fitness Box Camp, the Running Camp, and the Boot Camp.

Multivan Windsurf Cup
The Multivan Windsurf Cup is the highest-ranking German regatta series in windsurfing and is making its third appearance on Borkum this year. It consists of four to seven tour stops annually at the most beautiful beaches of the North and Baltic Seas, as well as selected spots inland.
For the first time, the IFCA Slalom European Championships in Fin and Foil Slalom will also be held as part of the Windsurf Cup in Borkum. The best windsurfers from all over Europe compete against each other. The entire event is accompanied by an extensive gastronomy and supporting program with well-known sponsors. It's worth stopping by!
Saturday, June 17th in the Kulturinsel
Music Day – Dutch music festival
15 wind orchestras with a total of 500 active musicians come every year from the Drenthe region of the Netherlands to organize a music festival in Borkum.
The performances in the Great Hall of the Kulturinsel are evaluated by an expert jury. The top three finishers each receive a trophy. The event is rounded off by open-air concerts by the orchestra in the spa park in front of the culture island in a relaxed atmosphere. In recent years, many Borkum residents and guests have been there to listen to the performances. Admission is free.

This year there will be sport again on the north beach: a varied range of sports for every age group and every fitness level will be offered directly on the dunes from July 10th to August 04th - everyone can take part!
The program consists of various fitness and health courses and is led by professionally trained trainers. The weekly plans include courses from yoga to functional training, from walking to beach gymnastics, everything your heart desires. And best of all: these courses are all free! So get out of the beach chair and head to the SportBeach - then the cool drink in the adjacent chill-out area will taste much better.
Here you can chill out and enjoy the sunset with pleasant music and the best view on the island.

Borkum Open
The oldest and largest tennis tournament on the North Sea, the "Borkum Open", attracts many young talents, all-stars and aspiring professionals to the unique setting of the North Sea island of Borkum every year.

BEACH DAYS BORKUM
Since its premiere in 2018, BEACH DAYS BORKUM has stood for exceptional and unique beach days. Summer, sun, and sand meet sports, parties, relaxation, and live concerts – all against the stunning backdrop of the North Sea. The fourth edition, packed with beach life, takes place this season from August 03rd to 06th, 2023, at Borkum's North Beach. A highlight for music fans will be the concert with BOSSE on Friday evening. The sporting highlight is the high-caliber beach volleyball series ROCK the BEACH. At this professional tournament, the best German beach volleyball teams compete for qualification to the German Championships.
During the day it's all about sport, enjoyment and relaxation and in the evening the island is all about partying and entertainment. The evening program starts on Thursday, August 03rd, 2023.

“YES, MY LORDS!”
A Heinz Rühmann evening with Michael Westphal with the popular hits and film roles. The audience will meet all of his characters again this evening. But it wasn't just in his film roles that he touched people. The whole nation sang along to his great hits. An evening full of seriousness and comedy in memories of the unforgettable screen icon.

Borkum mile run
On different Courses, from the Pirate Run for youngsters to the quarter marathon for ambitious runners, winners are once again determined, best times are set and the communal running and walking experience is enjoyed. Those planned by the TuS Borkum mile running team Courses lead through the varied and attractive beach and dune landscape of the island of Borkum. The sea air and the high seas climate make this run a special event and the extensive supporting program for all participants and their companions rounds off the experience.

Michael Rettig and Clovis Michon follow in the footsteps of contemporary romanticism. Her music seeks points of contact between minimalism, avant-garde and classical chamber music.

The Stokes
Over 10 years on tour. More than 700 concerts and hailed by the music press as "the only legitimate successors to the Dubliners." They like it authentic. Irish folk in its purest form – that's what the Stokes stand for. Eloquent, powerful, passionate, and with a deep feel for the hearts of the people on the Emerald Isle, they repeatedly deliver a musical declaration of love to a country and its cultural traditions.
And when the Stokes themselves in the motherland of Irish folk were voted best band of the year by Tourism Ireland twice, that is almost an accolade for a multinational band.

Ottolien – “Gezeitenland“-Homecoming
The Hanoverian duo made up of the two brothers Leo and Jonas Ottolien has already made its first mark in local playlists and on festival stages in the country with its hybrid rap/indie sound. Buttery synths jump from the edge of the pool with hand-made beats and a hint of Benhowardesque acoustic guitars. There is also an OTTOLIEN text landscape that tells of mermaids and macro moments.
Their second EP will be called “GEZEITENLAND” and will be inspired by the Borkum baths and will be celebrated in the Kulturinsel. The two guys have shot music videos and live sessions here on Borkum together with their video team.

Alex Parker – “Udo Jürgens…Unforgotten!”
The man from Lower Saxony was discovered by Holland's likeable show host Linda de Mol on RTL, in whose shows he presented himself to an audience of millions for the first time as an impersonator of Udo Jürgen. His own songs are regularly among the most played in Germany and climb to the top of the airplay charts determined by Media Control. With his song “Give the world a little color” he joined the elite of the German music scene on the ARD show “Festival der Sieger”.

Lüt up Borkum
Light up Borkum – Borkum will be bright and colorful. From October 15th to October 21st, 2023, various buildings on Borkum will be illuminated in a vibrant display of colors in the evenings. During the illumination, guests and islanders can enjoy a variety of activities and attractions, such as guided tours and culinary delights. The lights will be on from 6:30 pm to around 10:00 pm. Come and see for yourself!

Johnny Cash Experience
Johnny Cash Experience / The Cash Experience - With great passion and enthusiasm, the band performs a variety of songs by the old master of country music: from the early Sun Records era to the American Recordings, Johnny Cash's extremely successful late work and comeback. The repertoire therefore contains many songs that stand out from country music without questioning Cash's roots.
