The Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labor, Transport and Digitalization has once again awarded the North Sea island of Borkum the title of “state-recognized North Sea spa”. The audit committee takes a close look at the infrastructure and the quality of the holiday/stay for the guests.
“On the one hand, we are very pleased about the renewed award of the title of 'state-recognized North Sea spa', but on the other hand, it is also immensely important for our main economic factor, tourism. At the same time, it is recognition for our daily work and the passion we put into the development of Borkum. My thanks therefore go to all those involved and employees who have paved this path in the past and made it future-proof for the next ten years,” summarizes Tourism Director Pia Hosemann.
As part of quality assurance, the rating is checked every ten years. The next one will take place in 2030.
