After a tennis school was only hosted on the island during the holiday season in previous years, Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH was able to arrange a year-round tennis school for Borkum from March 8, 2021. With Sunball Tennis & Travel, Europe's leading school in tennis tourism, guests and islanders will be introduced to the sport.

Active in countries such as Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Croatia and Dubai, Sunball Tennis & Travel offers an extensive program. In addition to individual and group lessons for all levels and ages as well as special courses for children, weekly guest tournaments, trial lessons and events with ex-tennis professionals are also offered. The offer also includes material sales, racket rental and a stringing service.

According to a Lower Saxony decree, it is currently possible to play tennis on the two courts in the heated hall in Borkum during the pandemic. In addition to following the hygiene plan, the prerequisite is that you only play individually or with people from your own household.
