Borkum once again has the most beautiful beach in Germany. This is the result of the surveys conducted by the online travel portal Travelbook. Borkum's southern beach impressed Travelbook users and voted it first on the list, ahead of Zingst, Sylt and Juist. The southern beach was already convincing in 2018 and won the title, and in 2019 Borkum was even named the most beautiful island. This year's voting ran until May 31 and more than 34.000 votes were cast.

“This is a nice result that shows that the daily work of the service providers and our employees on the beach is paying off. Winning a vote at Travelbook for the third time in the last five years shows that we have a very beautiful piece of nature to offer. Of course, we would also like to thank all the islanders and guests who voted for us. “It’s nice to know that I’ll be able to carry the title of ‘Germany’s most beautiful beach’ again for at least a year,” says deputy tourism director Pia Hosemann.
