Start of the low season in Gezeitenland ~ Water & Wellness
Starting immediately, in Gezeitenland Water & Wellness: Off-season hours. Limited opening hours apply to the pool and sauna until and including March 20, 2026. They will remain closed to the public on Mondays – with the exception of the holidays around the turn of the year.
However, the physiotherapy, fitness and wellness areas remain open as usual and are also available to visitors on Mondays.
“Overall, we can be very satisfied with our 20th anniversary year,” concludes Peter Schöpel, Head of Vitality and Sport at Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH. “Despite changeable weather conditions, we have recorded stable visitor numbers, and the increasing membership numbers show that our offerings are becoming ever more popular with island residents.”
The anniversary year was marked by numerous highlights – including the big birthday celebration in August and the atmospheric light week “Lücht up Börkum” in October, both of which were accompanied by a diverse musical program.
Revision and closing times
During the Monday closures, energy-saving measures are implemented and minor repairs are carried out in the pool and sauna area. A longer maintenance period in the sauna area is therefore not currently planned.
The swimming pool is scheduled for maintenance from January 5th to 16th, 2026. Should the necessary work be completed earlier, the closure period will be shortened accordingly.
