The North Sea Spa Borkum GmbH and the town of Borkum remind holidaymakers to carry their visitor's tax card with them during their stay on Borkum and to be able to present it upon request. This also applies on the day of departure.
The visitor's tax inspectors conduct regular checks. These may take place, among other times, before the ferry departs. Travelers are therefore asked to keep their visitor's tax card readily available until departure.
The visitor's tax makes an important contribution to financing tourist services and offerings on the island. Even those exempt from the visitor's tax according to the regulations are advised to have appropriate proof available in case of an inspection.
With this notice, Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH and the city of Borkum hope to contribute to ensuring that checks can be carried out quickly and easily.
