A double reason to celebrate: The new Nordsee Aquarium Borkum celebrates its 14th anniversary on June 10th – just in time for World Ocean Day, which every year in June draws attention to the beauty and increasing threat to the oceans.

For a decade, the new Nordsee Aquarium Locals and visitors alike. It opens a window into the fascinating underwater world of the North Sea and provides information about the unique habitat of the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park.

To mark the anniversary, visitors can expect a varied program, including a birthday competition with attractive prizes, a Greenpeace booth with exciting short films, information materials, and hands-on activities, a rally through the aquarium, and a beach treasure hunt for all ages. A reduced admission price of €2 applies to all guests with a guest card on the holiday.

The event takes place in cooperation with Greenpeace eV Ostfriesland and the Friends Nordsee Aquarium Borkum eV.
