Press release – Beach chairs at the Olde Dunes/nudist beach available again from the beginning of June

Rental of beach chairs and budjes in the Olde Dunes can also be booked for textile wearers | June 5, 2024

Just in time for the beginning of the summer months, tourist supplies at the OIde dunes/nudist beach are guaranteed. After the beach tent rental company withdrew due to health reasons last year, Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH will take over the rental from the beginning of June for 2024. There is also an adjustment at the popular “nudist budjes” in the Olde Dunes near the “Dune Budjes”. Four of the stalls are now also accessible to clothing wearers.

“Unfortunately, no successor could be found. However, to give our guests the opportunity to rent a beach chair in this quiet yet popular beach area, we are stepping in for this season,” says Tourism Director Pia Hosemann. She adds that it is important to offer a place to relax even where it isn't quite so busy. Rentals can be made via email at strandkorb@borkum.de , and payment is by invoice or debit card on site.

To offer all Borkum residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of the dunes away from the island's center, it is now also possible for those who prefer to wear clothing to rent the beach huts in the Olde Dunes near the nudist beach. Four adjacent huts out of a total of twelve are suitable for this purpose. The remaining eight are still available for nudists. Bookings can be made as usual via www.borkum.de.
