The Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH has launched a new entertainment platform for all islanders and guests: "sharemagazines". By connecting to the WLAN "Borkum", users can access the most popular national and international daily newspapers as well as magazines and journals, such as Süddeutsche Zeitung, BILD, 11Freunde, National Geographic, Stern, BUNTE or GEO, on their mobile devices via "sharemagazines" - so read as long as your eyes don't get tired. The large selection of content means there is entertainment to suit every taste and every age. The WLAN is available on the lower promenade (music pavilion), in the Gezeitenland, in the cultural island and at the tourist information office. This makes Borkum the first destination to offer this service at several locations as part of the guest contribution.
“The collaboration with “sharemagazines” and the resulting offer is a great added value, especially for our guests. In the cold season, many holidaymakers look for the cultural island or the Gezeitenland to read and relax in peace. But a short break on the promenade with a look at your favorite magazine is also very popular. This digital solution is also future-oriented and easy to use for everyone," says Tourism Director Pia Hosemann.
Jan van Ahrens, CEO of sharemagazines, is also pleased about the collaboration: "As a native of Emden, I am particularly pleased about our new, regional customer. With the four locations of Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH, we have an island for the first time that has almost all of its tourist facilities - that is also a highlight for us!
We would like to thank everyone involved for the smooth collaboration and the positive feedback and are already looking forward to further cooperation.”
