In about a week, on August 01, 2024, the BEACH DAYS BORKUM 2024 will start. To ensure that the event with Silent Disco, the Rock the Beach beach volleyball tournament, the Antenne Niedersachsen Beach Party and the highlight, a concert by the band “Silbermond”, runs smoothly, the construction work will begin on Monday.

The preparations behind the scenes have been going on for several months now as a dynamic process that has to be constantly adapted to external conditions, among other things. At the moment, all those responsible and trades involved have decided to slightly change the event area and move it forward towards the promenade. There are various reasons for this, explains Tourism Director Pia Hosemann: "It is spring tide on the event weekend and the beach level has dropped significantly in the winter months, which can lead to very high water levels and flooding of the event area. Due to the wet sandy areas that have arisen from the heavy rainfall of the last few weeks, it was unavoidable to change the area of ​​the event village and adapt it to the new conditions. But even in the slightly changed location we will experience beautiful BEACH DAYS BORKUM. Our thanks go to our tenants, the milk stall operators and beach tent renters, the Öy surf school and of course all our guests who are implementing and supporting the necessary adjustments to hold the event."
