It's that time again: this Nordsee Aquarium Borkum releases adult animals into the vastness of the North Sea. On May 28th at 16.00:11 p.m., on June 14.00th at 13:16.15 p.m. and on July 36th at 1,20:38 p.m. a total of 25 catsharks, all hatched and raised under the supervision of Maria and Ihno Oetjen, will be released into the wild. “The animals, which are up to XNUMX meters long, stay in our aquarium for around four to five years until they are of a reasonable size to survive in the wild. But they cannot reproduce until they are ten years old. We have now raised XNUMX sharks that are ready for release, now we need some space again,” explains Ihno Oetjen. Each of the animals would be happy to have a “shark sponsor”. The sponsors donate a contribution of XNUMX euros per desired shark for this Nordsee Aquarium Borkum, receive a certificate and have the opportunity to personally let the animal into the water. The donated amounts are reinvested in the breeding program. Interested parties can purchase sponsorship via https://bit.ly/PatenschaftKatzenhai. If you have any questions, please send an email to info@borkum.de.
