Borkum's beach entertainment will be getting a sporting boost in summer 2025: "Sport am Nord" will significantly expand the recreational offerings at the Nordbad. From July 1 to August 31, locals and guests can enjoy a diverse entertainment and sports program right on the beach, free of charge, Monday through Saturday.
In addition to the already wide range of sports courses available for various fitness levels and difficulty levels, beach entertainer Marco Bieler and his team also offer sports equipment rental. Various balls, Viking chess, Mölkky, Spikeball, and boules are available for rent. Buckets and shovels are also included. Rental of the equipment is covered by the guest fee and is therefore free of charge.
A special highlight: Participants can acquire the Borkum Sports Badge on site, which can be recognized by health insurance companies as part of the preventive service.
"With Sport am Nord, we're creating an attractive additional offering to the beach entertainment right on the beach," says Tourism Director Pia Hosemann. "The offering is aimed at everyone who wants to spend their vacation actively. There's something for every age group and every fitness level."
