Press release from the city of Borkum and the NBG on the milk stall compromise

PM of the city of Borkum and the NBG on the milk stall compromise | 23 January 2020

The supervisory board of Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH decided at its meeting on January 22.01nd. The business plan for 2020 presented by Managing Director, Göran Sell, was decided after intensive consultation.

In addition, a joint decision was made on how to proceed with the milk stall issue. On the initiative of Mayor Jürgen Akkermann, an adequate solution (for all parties) was found after a constructive discussion. The current operators of the milk stalls as well as new interested parties are taken into account. The plan is to retain the current milk stalls in a modernized and more attractive design while at the same time bringing a new generation of models to the beach. Both variants should fit in with the nostalgic and maritime flair of the promenade and beach in terms of urban planning and architecture. The necessary discussions will be held with everyone involved as quickly as possible. Of course, this also includes the approval authorities.

Further details will be announced once the discussions have concluded.
