Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH – annual financial statements for the 2021 financial year
The supervisory board decided to recommend to the shareholders' meeting of Nordseeheilbad Borkum GmbH to approve the managing director's 2021 report, the NBG's 2021 annual financial statements with a balance sheet total of. Economic situation NBG
There is a negative annual result for the current financial year. H.v. – EUR 244.000 planned. In the forecast report, the management points out that there is a high degree of uncertainty regarding the planned results due to the corona pandemic and the war in Ukraine and that it is not currently possible to fully quantify the risks. However, the likelihood of achieving a better annual result is not likely given the cost increases and the slowdown in travel behavior compared to 2019. One reason for the negative result for the planning year is the structurally permanent deficits in the operation of the public tourism facilities, which can no longer be fully compensated for by the profits of the municipal utilities division. Added to this are the significant cost increases in the purchase of consumables, maintenance and investments on the procurement side since the beginning of the Ukraine crisis. A joint meeting with the city council is planned to discuss the economic situation from the perspective of the Stadt-Borkum Group as a whole and to discuss possible solutions.
Information about EnSikuMaV
The management also provided information about energy saving measures that have been implemented and planned. The Ordinance to Secure Energy Supply via Short-Term Effective Measures (EnSikuMaV) has been in effect since September 01.09.2022, 01.09.2022. This regulation regulates energy saving measures in the building sector for a period of six months from September 01.10.2022st, XNUMX. It will be issued together with a regulation on medium-term effective efficiency and energy saving measures, which will apply for two years from October XNUMXst, XNUMX. Energy saving measures in the building sector, which are designed as precautionary measures, avoid unnecessary energy consumption. It is important to avoid a shortage situation or to mitigate one when it occurs and to respond to the increase in energy costs by reducing consumption.
Both the city of Borkum and the NBG have jointly and individually initiated measures to save energy in public buildings. These include, among other things, the ban on heating common areas, the reduction of the maximum values for the air temperature in work rooms in public buildings to 19°C for physically light and predominantly sedentary work and the lighting of public buildings and monuments from the outside with the exception of safety and emergency lighting prohibited. The water temperature in the non-therapeutic water pools of the Gezeitenlandit had already been reduced in previous months. Not only the facilities and buildings of the NBG and Stadtwerke Borkum, but also the events have to be taken into account in the current situation and are being put to the test. Stadtwerke Borkum is currently preparing a bundle of information on electricity and heating saving tips, which will be available on the Stadtwerke Borkum website at the end of the month.
